San Diego offers a bevy of interesting walks. With the average home price being around $500,000, they better be interesting!

To unwind, I usually end on my way home from work to hike from Cardiff to Carlsbad on the beach. For attractive sunsets and tasty waves, the beach between Cardiff to Carlsbad cant be beat.

Cardiff - Starting

I typically start this walk by parking just south of restaurant row in Cardiff. Restaurant strip is found to the north of the lagoon between Solana and Cardiff Beach on Highway 101 click here . Parking is situated on the part of the road, which will be right facing the beach. Give convenience to me or give death to me!

As you go north, you first move Charlies and other restaurants. Past the restaurants, you will come to the beginning of the beach that will be lined by the bluffs to the end of the backpack. San Elijo runs for roughly a mile north and campground is on top of the bluffs. The campground is quite common and the temporary home of tourist and residents. You can tell the huge difference by contrasting tans with sunburns.

Following San Elijo, you'll walk through Sea Cliff County Park with hills over 100 feet high. This park is quickly followed by an area known affectionately as Swamis. The name comes from the fact the place above the bluff is the house to the Self Realization Fellowship Center. This region is as hot scan position know, but is very crowded. You can watch and end 50 roughly surfers control for waves, if you are somewhat winded. Yes, traffic jams arent solely limited to California freeways team .

North of Swamis, you will sail along an extended strip of sand hemmed in by 50 to 60 base hills in the town of Encinitas. For anyone with a wicked sense of humor, there is a relatively popular sport called, Watch your house fall. Yes, the bluffs are offering slowly. Plants are first lost by the homes, then patios and etc, because they erode. They say property is all about location, location, location, but often a beachfront property isnt all that good.

The Encinitas portion of the hike is fairly long. Using the high hills, you'll find parts of the beach that are abandoned. Yes, even during summer. The one thing breaking up the isolation is Moonlight Beach, a reasonably popular beach with residents. Otherwise, its just you, covers and sportsmen until you reach the end of-the bluffs and South Carlsbad. Time for you to turn-around and find the car.

The Cardiff to South Carlsbad rise is approximately 5 miles in each direction. The walk is smooth and quick. By the end, you'll be comfortable and forget that Bert in sales is a idiot appliance repair boca raton . Appreciate.
